NYC

Xtreme was such fun, and I was able to meet my favorite photographer Jessica Claire. She is such a neat person, and I am so inspired by her work. To learn photography from her and to look at my financials with Liana really equated a great time in New York. Not only did I get to learn from them, but 40 other photographers from around the globe as well. Anyway to make a great tie and long story short. Know that I had such a wonderful time meeting EVERYONE, and the dining was incredible. Mesa Grill is definetely a wonderful place to eat, and is owned by Bobby Flay. Followed by a little Frozen Hot Chocolate at Serendipity and your taste buds will be dancing all the way home. Here are a few pics!!!

Catching Tears

Crystal and Jimmy are both from Louisiana, but met each other here in Greenville. A perfect start to this love story. During the ceremony Crystal and Jimmy read each other vows. After Jimmy expressed his love through his own words, Crystal began to read her commitment. Crystal cried as she read. Unexpectedly Jimmy raised his hands and began to catch the tears as they rolled down from Crystal’s face. Candid moments like this are so unique and magical. Even though this angle is concentrated on the bride you can still see that Jimmy is smiling with happiness as he wipes the tears. There are many powerful images in this slideshow. I love the shot of Jimmy's dad crying. I had a long lens on the camera and I could tell he was really trying to hide from being captured, but a father crying is sometimes unexpected and momentus. Alison & Roger

Alison and Roger had a gorgeous wedding located in Easley, SC. There were many magical moments throughout the event. I particularly enjoyed the one of the ring bearers yawning during the ceremony. Definitely a CANDID moment. The evening was filled with candid moments. After the ceremony I had a blast with Alison and Roger as we cleared the church and quickly had a Bride and Groom Session. Love in the Mountains

Conoly and Matt were married in the beautiful landscape of the Cliffs at Glassy. If you have never visited, there it is a stone chapel located at the peak of the mountain overlooking a gorgeous view. The photographs were absolutely amazing and I want to share them with everyone. Conoly is a student at the University of Texas and married Captain Matt Sullivan a graduate of West Point. This wedding was the perfect getaway! Driving up the mountain is so peaceful and even though you're only 20 minutes from Greenville you forget about the Big City. Click Here to view the slideshow.

Bridal Session with Forest

Forest is such an elegant bride and we shot her Bridal Portrait at the Kilgore-Lewis House, which is the wedding location. I was so pleased to have met her cool friends Max and Chrissy and to get reaquainted with the staff at the Kilgore-Lewis home. Some venues have the friendliest staff and this is one of them. Anyway here's a sneak peak at the photo Forest picked for her Bridal Portrait. I loved it so much I used it for my Yellow Page Ad.

In and Out of Shape

While I have been working hard at getting in shape my friend Mills Stover has been working hard at something else. Apparently Moe's Southwest Grill had a Nationwide Burrito eating contest and Mills entered. Well, after winning the local competition Mills went on to the area competition and then to Atlanta for the regional competition. His quest for the National Burrito Eating Championship unfortunately ended when he was disqualified for a technicality at Regionals. I'm sure his girlfriend wasn't too disappointed, and I'm sure his heart was probably begging for him to stop. So while Mills has been chomping on free Mexican for the last month I have been working out with DJ. I have lost 18lbs of pure fat and my body fat was reduced from 19 percent to 11 percent. My overall speed has been improved and my knee is almost 100%. I am eating a CLEAN diet and feel and look GREAT. Thanks to DJ. I'm ready for the VOLLEYBALL BIRTHDAY BASH!!!

Emily & Jarrad

Emily and Jarrad are getting married at Patriots Pointe in Charleston, SC and I can't wait. We had a great engagement shoot and somehow avoided the rain, and tried to stay cool. MUGGY weather is officially here, but that didn't stop this couple. Jarrad kept Emily laughing and acted natural in front of the camera. Some grooms tend to be nervous which is understandable. It's always the girls that usually get this paparazzi attention, starting at a very young age. Anyway, this was a great engagement shoot and thanks for the ride in the LandRover. "Shutter"

Shutter is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and has come to live and work with Imagine That Photography, Inc. and staff. The boys absolutely adore him. I had no idea that this puppy would have such a positive effect on the boys. They haven't touched an XBox controller and all efforts are concentrated on his every movement. Shutter has easily settled in, and gallops across the hardwood floors while I work. He's officially in training, but he's getting his own business cards. I'm sure interesting photos are to follow in the near future.

Forest & Jamie

Forest, ex-Middle school teacher and soon to be MUSC student, let her hair down and got Jamie ready for a day of paparazzi. Jamie and Forest wanted to do something different for their Engagement shoot, so I ran some ideas by Forest and Jamie, and scheduled something downtown. Shooting downtown on a Sunday gives me a little more freedom, and since it's less crowded usually my couple is less nervous. Anyway, Jamie was really timid, as most guys are in the beginning. BUT we added some spice to our recipe and came out with a finished product that a lot of people have complimented on. I'm glad to be diversified and to meet a range of clients needs. Nicole & Chet

Chet and Nicole were married on July 3rd on beautiful Sullivan's Island. I've had an amazing time with both Chet and Nicole. They are a great couple, and as I reminisce through the memories we've shared, I begin to smile. I was so glad when Nicole's dad chose me for this event. It meant alot and with Chet being in the military with 11 Bravo status, it meant much more. As I was driving to Charleston I was listening to Amos Lee, an amazing artist. His songs really embody the charm and majic of Charleston. I listened to "In The Arms of a Woman" and it goes well with Nicole and Chet. Some of the lyrics make me picture Chet out in the field counting the stars in a OD Green sleeping bag, or on a 12-mile road march thinking of Nicole for motivation. I usually try to use upbeat songs, but I think Chet will appreciate this one. I wish Nicole and Chet the best. Chet thanks for what you and your fellow soldiers are doing for our great country. Marnie & James Wilkins

Marnie & James Wilkins received a warm welcome from friends and family at the Brick Street Cafe on Augusta Road. Everything looked so perfect from the establishment to the food and not to mention all the vivid colors. The southern charm of all the women and the cute outfits of summer lingered throughout the room.

There were so many expressions and I wanted to capture unobtrusively the laughter and emotion of the night. I was thrilled to meet with previous aquaintenances and to make new ones as well. Marnie and James are definitely headed down a promising path. Sounds like they have found positions at The Cliffs and at Furman, where they can utilize their passion for the enviroment and the outdoors. Good luck to them both. Sarai & Adam

Sarai and Adam are personal friends and they actually eloped. Because they didn't leave Greenville, Adam doesn't consider what they done eloping. So I pulled the Dictionary out and I quote. "Elope - run away secretly in order to get married, esp. without parental consent". So I hate to burst your bubble, but Adam you eloped. OK. Now that we have that settled; Stephanie Maddox another good friend hosted a reception party for them. I got some cool shots, even though we just roamed the subdivision looking for areas to photograph. Adam and Sarai were such a great couple to capture. They were wrapped up in each other and unaware of my presence. By far one of the most relaxed couples I've worked with. Thanks guys for everything especially the positive feedback. Wish you two the best and tell Sarai's mom Beverly I said hello.

G5

The Studio is contantly evolving. Because of our current growth, we have added some new toys and gadgets. First was the Apple G5 and i found a guy in NC wanting to sell his Apple 23" flat panel. After spending a day loading all the software inputing the 4GB of memory and an extra 400GB of hard drive space, we were ready to go. This computer is configured for one goal and that is to meet all of our clients needs. We also love the fact that our Cingular 8125 Mobile PC phone is now synced with our Entourage Contacts and Calendar. Who said Mac and PC's couldn't get along. We are answering emails with the phone when traveling and away from the studio. Dedicated and devoted.

Gretta & Michael

Gretta and Michael had a very small ceremony in Falls Park. When the couple called me inquiring my availability for a Thursday wedding rendezvous, I got really excited. After visiting my website Michael called me back and immediately talked about my style. Art is so subjective, and photography is more than just still moments. I try to add my artistic flare. I like to think I capture moments differently than the "studio photographers". Glad that clients see this and continue to hire me. Anyway Michael and Gretta you guys are awesome and I loved every minute spent with you and your family. No matter how big or small the event is it's the satisfaction of knowing your customers are impressed with your work. Thanks and good luck on building your new home.

Kwame Jackson supports Henri Thompson

Everyone may know Kwame Jackson from Donald Trump's megahit The Apprentice, but everyone may not know who he supports. Henri Thompson is a Spartanburg native and is running for a seat in The House of Represenatives. This was a great night and I was very impressed not only with Henri, but with Kwame as well. Kwame's personal story of how education changed his family lives throughout the generatons was very inspiring.

Cade's Surgery

Before leaving for Charleston, Cade had surgery. Cade had a bone growth, that wasn't cancer, on his left fibula. It was ablsolutely heartbreaking to watch Cade fall asleep as the medicine took effect. I was so relieved when the doctors gave us the good report, and Cade finally opened his eyes. He's wearing a leg brace for a couple of weeks and using a walker to get around. He's been a real trooper and very independent throughout this process. I have never questioned Cade's intelligence, but I didn't know of his outstanding character and integrity until the surgery. I'm honored to be his father and am so proud of him.

Charleston

Charleston is my absolute favorite place in the world. I adore Charleston and all it's history and charm. Although work had to be done, I was able to spare some time for fun. I first met Roy Gray for a little golf. We played at the Naval Weapons station, and unfortunately no pictures were allowed. BUMMER...it was so beautiful. We had a blast. I met with a groom as well for a May 2007 wedding, and also talked with Real Estate Developers about some aerial photography. Did I mention we also had a wedding that weekend on Sullivan's Island? BUSY! I frequently went to Folly Beach for Crab Legs, and Mahi Mahi. The Crab Shack is a great place to eat. I met some locals and some neighbors. Rumi and Tim Settle were down there as well from Greenville, and I was so glad to meet them. We even share the same hair stylist, Noriko at Artistic Cutters. Found out that Tim got "special treatment", so I'll be talking to Noriko about that!!! Here's a shot I was able to take heading down to Folly Beach.

Savannah & Sweet Potato Fries

Jonah has persevered throughout his first Track and Field Season. As a result, he made it all the way to the Regionals in Savannah, Georgia. So this past weekend was about the two of us spending time with each other, supporting Jonah & the team and discovering some of the majestic sites in the historical city of Savannah. We visited several infamous spots including Bonaventure Cemetery, Wormsloe, and the River Walk. For lunch the first day, we stopped by "Huey's" for a bite to eat- great food with a scenic view. I recommend the Blackened Tuna with Sweet Potato Fries.
Later that evening, you can see Jonah indulging himself with Snow Crab at Fiddler's Crab House. He and I ate upstairs where we overlooked the Savannah River and enjoyed listening to some live music. As we were leaving we ran into Brooks Grady who is actually the Great-Great-Great-Granddaughter of Vardry McBee founder of Greenville and her Uncle, Jack Grady is a Verger with Christ Church. Small world!!!!!! All in all, we soaked in everything Savannah had to offer. Splendid time and can't wait to visit again. Click Here to view the slideshow

DJ Jordan Carolina Body Building Supernatural Overall Winner

So many people looked at my previous post about DJ, and couldn't believe he was going into a body building competition. Well, I hope these photos make a believer out of everyone. DJ not only won his weight class, but he actually took the Overall Winner Trophee Home. The Overall pose-off was the highlight of the show. DJ and his opponent was fighting for center stage, and the crowd went crazy. This was an all natural Christian based event. We are all proud of DJ for bringing the trophee back to Greenville. It was 11.45pm before we left, and I knew of a quaint Italian restaurant, but was unsure if they would be open. I was praying they were, because I told all my friends it was the absolute best Italian in the Upstate or SC. Britt dropped me off at the door, I went in and spotted the owner Renato. He was taking a smoke, sitting at an oval table with friends. Low-volumed Italian music found it way past the dim lights and smoked filled room. Ok...this is starting to sound like a Saprano episode, but difinitely describes the atmosphere. Renato is from Italy, and has been in business for 15 years. I tell him that I have 8 exhausted and hungry people outside and asked if he could accomodate. He stares at me and takes one last drag off his cigarette, and in his Italian-English voice says, "C'mon in and I fill ya belly." The restaurant was empty and Renato fixed the most amazing food. Britt said the stars were aligned right and that this was DJ's night....and it was. The food was incredible, and it was like our own private party. Kudos to Renato!!!
