Cade's Surgery
Before leaving for Charleston, Cade had surgery. Cade had a bone growth, that wasn't cancer, on his left fibula. It was ablsolutely heartbreaking to watch Cade fall asleep as the medicine took effect. I was so relieved when the doctors gave us the good report, and Cade finally opened his eyes. He's wearing a leg brace for a couple of weeks and using a walker to get around. He's been a real trooper and very independent throughout this process. I have never questioned Cade's intelligence, but I didn't know of his outstanding character and integrity until the surgery. I'm honored to be his father and am so proud of him.

Sooo great to hear that Cade is doing well. Me being a nurse and mother, this post hits home to me. What a trooper.

Wishing the best to the whole family. Hope Cade is well soon.
So glad it wasn't cancer. I think surgery is always harder on the parents (or grandparents) than the child.
Hope all is mending well and things are getting back to normal.
Best wishes!
Been thru similar situation watching my daughter go under aneasthesia (sp?)...very hard for the parents. Glad your son did so well...what a strong little boy! :)
Best wishes for your little boy. We have been blessed to have very healthy babies and I can't imagine watching one of them hurting. I'll keep your family in my prayers.
Thanks everyone. You guys are awesome. Cade is fully recovered, but has a seven inch scar down his leg :( I'm not complaining, because I know there are other children in much distressed situations. I just hate to see my Cade with that scar. Thanks to you all!!!!
